Poncho versus Windbreaker/Rain Jacket

Supplies for protection from exposure

Been wearing a nylon string backpack to and from the bus to work all week, just to see how it holds up. It misted (typical Pacific Northwest "rain") several of those days, not cold though.

Wore a nylon windbreaker instead of a poncho and appreciated how easy it was to get the backpack on and off, as opposed to struggling with a poncho.

Since the rain wasn't a soaking rain, mist didn't damage me nor the contents of my backpack. Just damp and dried out easily when hung on coat rack at work. Keeping contents in zip lock bags makes good sense in this environment.

Unfortunately, when hopping off the bus, one of the strings of my backpack caught on the door handle and popped away from the pack, grommet and all. I suppose this "break away" feature is better than being hung up on the door of a moving bus! Now for repairs and more experiments...
